NEC V30
I used this NEC V30 on my Amstrad PC1512 (8 MHz), back in the early 1990s. Yes, it was faster than the normal 8086. You could sense the improvement using the PC1512 640x200 16-color special graphics mode with a special driver on those old "Sierra adventure games". Also while using the LZH, ARJ and classic PKZIP compressors.
