Specifications of new server processors for socket 1356
May 25, 2012: Xeon E5-2400 microprocessors for socket 1356 were launched last week, along with Xeon E3-1200 v2 family for socket 1155, and Xeon E5-4600 for socket 2011. Initial E5-2400 lineup included 9 server processors, and, as we learned by the end of last week, Intel also released three embedded SKUs. It turns out that there was an additional chip from the E5-2400 series, and three other server models for socket 1356, launched at about the same time frame. New CPUs are Xeon E5-2449L, E5-1410, and Pentium 1403 and 1407. The processors were not on Intel roadmap, and we suspect that they are produced for specific clients.
