TXT - Trusted Execution TBT - Dynamic Acceleration / Turbo Boost Pictures (0)NewsApr 03, 2011: As we already reported today, Intel updated price-list with new
Xeon E3 microprocessors. In addition to that, 18 models from Xeon
E7-2800, E7-4800 and E7-8800 families were added to the list. The
specifications and April 4th introduction date of E7 CPUs were
revealed in January of this year. It seems that the processors will be
launched on time, unlike Xeon E3 family, that was delayed by one and
half months.
Feb 07, 2011: On January 21, we published an article describing two Xeon E7
microprocessors, which S-Spec and part numbers were spotted on Intel
website. An anonymous visitor commented on the story, and posted
details of the full E7-2800 and E7-2800 lines of processors, along
with expected April 4 launch date. Today, we received an indirect
confirmation of this date from two different sources (documents). One
source, dated by December 2010, provides April 4 - May 13 launch date
range, while more recent second source from January states that the
Westmere-EX launch is on track for the second quarter 2011. One of the
documents also lists a few upcoming CPUs from E7-8800 series. These
are Xeon E7-8830, E7-8837, E7-8850, E7-8867L, E7-8860, and E7-8870.
Jan 24, 2011: Three days ago we posted a story with part and S-spec numbers of
two forthcoming Xeon E7 microprocessors. Today, an anonymous visitor
added a comment to that story detailing full line-up of Xeon E7
models. Coincidentally, we discovered additional information about
Xeon E7 CPUs, which mostly matches with the posted Xeon
line-up.
Jan 21, 2011: Thanks to Intel Material Declaration Data Sheet database, we
recently learned about S-Spec and part numbers of Intel Core i5-2405S
CPU, and Xeon E3-1200 series microprocessors. Today was another update
of the MDDS database, which disclosed two processor numbers for forthcoming Xeon E7
family. These are Xeon E7-4830 and Xeon E7-4870.
