Default clock speed is 133 x 33 = 4400 MHz @ ~1.425 V
It does have Turbo Boost (not shown in BIOS), but only up to 34x or 4533 MHz, and from my experience, it kicks in very rarely. |

News
Xeon X5698 is shipped in HP and Dell servers
Jul 19, 2011: In March we reported on the fastest clocked x86 processor,
manufactured by Intel. The microprocessor is Everest series Xeon
X5698, that has 2 CPU cores, operating at impressive 4.4 GHz.
Internally, the chip has 6 cores, but 4 of them are disabled.
Obscure CPUs: Intel Xeon L5639 and X5679
May 01, 2011: Introduced in March 2010, Xeon 5600 family of server processors for
dual-socket systems was refreshed in February of this year, bringing
the total number of available models to more than 20. Specifications
of these microprocessors are well known, and you can find them on our
website or in the Intel ARK database. There are three Xeon 5600 CPUs
that you won't find on Intel ARK site, though. One of them is a
dual-core Xeon X5698, clocked at impressively high for x86
architecture 4.4 GHz. Two other SKUs, virtually unknown to
public, are L5639 and X5679.
Intel quietly ships 4.4 GHz Xeon X5698
Mar 11, 2011: In the middle of last year, when Intel produced pre-production parts for the
next refresh of Xeon 5600-series, they also made several quite
interesting Xeon samples. The most distinguishing feature of these
chips was very high clock frequency. Even the slowest Xeon microprocessor
from that group was clocked at 4 GHz, and the fastest one reached 4.66
GHz. One of these samples made into production, and started
shipping earlier this year. The processor was released as Xeon X5698,
and, at 4.4 GHz, it's the fastest Intel production CPU ever.
