  • Base frequency of the Intel Core i7-4770K is higher than the frequency of the Core i7-3960X CPU.
  • The Intel Core i7-4770K has AVX2, F16C and FMA3 instructions. These extensions are not widely used by applications yet, but their support should improve in future apps.
  • Besides 4 CPU cores, the microprocessor has integrated HD 4600 GPU. This Graphics Processing Unit replaces low-end graphics card, and thus lowers the cost of the system.
  • The Intel i7-4770K processor is 35% more energy efficient.
  • The official price of the CPU is significantly lower than the price of the Intel i7-3960X.
