  • The FX-6100 includes more processing cores than the A6-3600 processor. Large number of cores helps this CPU to process multiple tasks or heavily multi-threaded programs.
  • According to our estimates, single-threaded performance of the processor is better.
  • It is estimated that the microprocessor performs 38% faster in multi-threaded applications.
  • The AMD FX-6100 processor has SSSE3, SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 instructions enabled.
  • The CPU supports AES technology, that accelerates AES encryption. The instructions are valuable if you need to secure your disk or network data.
  • The AMD FX-6100 processor includes AVX and XOP instructions. Although these extensions are not extensively supported by programs yet, their support should improve in future apps.
  • The microprocessor has FMA4 instruction set extension enabled. Only AMD processors offer this technology, for that reason it probably will not get broad support from software vendors.
  • The clock multiplier on the AMD FX-6100 processor is not locked. As a result, the CPU can be effortlessly overclocked on most motherboards when higher performance is desired.
