Intel Core i7-3770K
  • The Intel Core i7-3770K comes with higher operating frequency than the Xeon X5660.
  • This microprocessor has AVX and F16C instructions, that were introduced in modern microprocessors not too far ago. While these extensions are not extensively supported by applications yet, their support should improve in future programs.
  • The clock multiplier on the processor is not locked. To get more performance from the CPU, it can be effortlessly overclocked. Be warned that overclocking voids warranty of the microprocessor.
  • In addition to 4 CPU cores, the microprocessor integrates HD 4000 graphics. While this GPU is not powerful enough to play latest games with all settings on, it can be used for casual gaming and 3D apps.
  • Power consumption of the i7-3770K CPU is better.
  • The microprocessor is priced about 73% lower.
