AMD A6-5200 advantages

  • The AMD A6-5200 incorporates more CPU cores than the Intel Core i3-4010U processor. Large number of cores helps this microprocessor to handle many simultaneous threads or processes.
  • Operating frequency of the AMD A6-5200 is higher than the frequency of the Intel Core i3-4010U.
  • The A6-5200 has F16C instructions. These extensions are not widely supported by programs yet, however their support should improve in future apps.

Intel Core i3-4010U advantages

  • Execute disable bit feature, available on this processor, helps to protect from some types of computer viruses. This technology does not work on old operating systems, like Windows 2000, MAC OS 9, and earlier ones.
  • The microprocessor has AVX2 and FMA3 instructions, that appeared in modern CPUs not too far ago. These extensions are not extensively used in applications yet, but their support should improve in future programs.
  • The CPU is 40% more energy efficient than the A6-5200.
