  • More CPU cores on the FX-8350 help to handle many simultaneous processes or threads.
  • This microprocessor has higher operating frequency than the Core i7-3820 CPU.
  • The microprocessor supports F16C, FMA3 and XOP instructions. While these extensions are not widely used by applications yet, their support should improve in future apps.
  • The AMD FX-8350 CPU features FMA4 instruction set extension. Only AMD microprocessors offer this technology, therefore it may not get broad support from software vendors.
  • The processor is unlocked. The microprocessor can be easily overclocked on most motherboards if greater performance is needed.
  • The AMD FX-8350 is 4% more energy efficient.
  • The official price of the processor is considerably lower than the price of the Intel i7-3820.
