  • The AMD FX-9590 packs more processing cores than the Core i5-3570K. Large number of cores helps this microprocessor to process many tasks or threads at once.
  • Operating frequency of the AMD FX-9590 CPU is higher than the frequency of the Core i5-3570K.
  • The FX-9590 microprocessor includes FMA3 and XOP instructions, introduced in the recent past. While these extensions are not broadly used by programs yet, their support should improve in future apps.
  • The FX-9590 processor has FMA4 instruction set extension. The FMA4 technology is only available on AMD processors, therefore not many software vendors may support it in the future.
