  • One of the distinctive features of the microprocessor is Hyper-Threading technology. The Hyper-Threading allows this CPU to run twice as many threads.
  • In single-threaded applications, the microprocessor is expected to be 211% faster.
  • According to our estimates, multi-threaded performance of the Intel Core i7-4770 processor is higher.
  • The i7-4770 includes SSSE3, SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 instructions.
  • The Core i7-4770 microprocessor supports AES, or Advanced Encryption Standard, extension to the instruction set. This technology accelerates AES encryption and decryption, and is valuable if you run programs, that protect your disk or network data.
  • The i7-4770 incorporates AVX, AVX2, F16C and FMA3 instructions, that were introduced in the recent past. While these extensions are not widely used in applications yet, their support should improve in future programs.
  • Besides 4 CPU cores, the microprocessor integrates HD 4600 GPU. This graphics replaces low-end graphics card, and thus lowers the cost of the system.
  • Power consumption of the i7-4770 is better.
  • Intel still develops microprocessors for Socket 1150, used by the Intel i7-4770 processor. The company has plans to release new CPUs for the socket in the future.
