  • The Intel Core i7-3930K includes more processing cores than the Intel Xeon E3-1285L v3 microprocessor. Large number of cores helps this processor to process many simultaneous tasks or threads.
  • The Intel Core i7-3930K offers higher base frequency than the Intel E3-1285L v3.

Intel Xeon E3-1285L v3 advantages

  • The microprocessor includes AVX2, F16C and FMA3 instructions, that were introduced in modern microprocessors not too far ago. Even though these extensions are not extensively supported by applications yet, their support should improve in future apps.
  • Besides 4 CPU cores, the processor integrates HD P4700 graphics. While this GPU is not fast enough to run latest games at full resolution, it can be used for casual gaming and 3D applications.
  • The microprocessor is 50% more energy efficient than the i7-3930K.
