AMD Athlon II X4 635 (rev. C3) advantages

  • This CPU offers higher base frequency than the Opteron 3350 HE processor.
  • The microprocessor has 3DNow! instructions enabled. This technology can enhance performance of some old games. The 3DNow! set is obsolete now, and not utilized by modern programs.

AMD Opteron 3350 HE advantages

  • The AMD 3350 HE includes SSSE3, SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 instructions.
  • The Opteron 3350 HE supports AES, or Advanced Encryption Standard, technology. This extension provides hardware acceleration of AES encryption and decryption, and is beneficial if you run applications, that protect your disk or network data.
  • The CPU has AVX, F16C, FMA3 and XOP instructions enabled. These extensions are not widely used in programs yet, however their support should improve in future apps.
  • The Opteron 3350 HE processor has FMA4 instruction set extension enabled. The FMA4 technology is only available on AMD microprocessors, for that reason it may not get broad support from software vendors.
  • The microprocessor is 53% more energy efficient.
