Intel Core i7-4770K
  • The processor comes with higher operating frequency than the Intel Core i7-980X.
  • This microprocessor has AVX, AVX2, F16C and FMA3 instructions. These extensions are not widely supported by applications yet, but their support should improve in future programs.
  • Like many modern microprocessors, the Intel Core i7-4770K integrates graphics unit. This GPU is not fast enough to run latest games at full resolution, however it can be used for casual gaming and 3D apps.
  • Power consumption of the CPU is better.
  • The Socket 1150, used by the processor, is still actively supported by Intel. The company has plans to release new CPUs for the socket in the future.
