  • Operating frequency of the AMD A6-5400K is higher than the frequency of the Intel T4300.
  • This processor provides hardware acceleration of virtualized programs.
  • The A6-5400K CPU has SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 instructions enabled.
  • The AMD A6-5400K processor supports Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) technology. This extension accelerates AES encryption and decryption, and is beneficial if you need to secure your disk or network data.
  • The AMD A6-5400K features AVX, F16C, FMA3 and XOP instructions. These extensions are not widely used by applications yet, however their support should improve in future programs.
  • The AMD A6-5400K incorporates FMA4 instruction set extension. Only AMD processors have this technology, therefore it probably will not get broad support from software vendors.
  • The A6-5400K is unlocked. The microprocessor can be freely overclocked on most motherboards when greater performance is needed.
  • The processor has integrated Radeon HD 7540D Graphics Processing Unit. This graphics is not powerful enough to play latest games at full resolution, but it can be used for casual gaming and 3D apps.
  • The Socket FM2, used by the CPU, is still actively supported by AMD. The company has plans to launch more products for the socket in the future.
