AMD A4-5300
  • Based on our estimates, the microprocessor is 34% faster in single-threaded applications.
  • The CPU has SSSE3, SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 instructions enabled.
  • The processor incorporates Advanced Encryption Standard instructions, that accelerate AES encryption. The technology is beneficial if you need to secure your disk or network data.
  • The CPU supports AVX, F16C, FMA3 and XOP instructions. While these extensions are not widely supported by programs yet, their support should improve in future apps.
  • The AMD A4-5300 has FMA4 instruction set extension. This technology is only offered on AMD CPUs, thus not many software vendors may support it in the future.
  • Besides 2 CPU cores, the AMD A4-5300 embeds Radeon HD 7480D graphics unit. While this graphics is not powerful enough to play latest games with all settings on, it can be used for casual gaming and 3D applications.
  • Power consumption of the processor is better.

  • The CPU supports 3DNow! technology. Although the 3DNow! instruction set may enhance performance of certain old games and software, it is now obsolete, and it is no longer used by modern applications.
