Cedar Mill was the last core based on NetBurst micro-architecture. |
The Cedar Mill core was introduced on Jan 5, 2006. This core is based on NetBurst microarchitecture.
New core features:
- 0.065 micron manufacturing process
- Lower power consumption
Identification of microprocessors with Cedar Mill core:
- By part number: The part number contains 80552.
For example: HH80552RE083512
- By CPU ID: First two digits of CPU identification number are "F6".
Please note that some Xeon and Pentium D microprocessors had the same
CPU IDs.
Celeron D microprocessors have modified Cedar Mill core with 512
KB of level 2 cache memory. To distinguish this core from Pentium 4
Cedar Mill core with 2 MB L2 cache, the Celeron D core is often
called Cedar Mill-512.
