Pentium III

The Deschutes core is based on P6 microarchitecture.

New core features:

  • 0.25 micron technology
  • 100 MHz FSB
  • Lower core voltage and power requirements
  • Different type of slot cartridge

Pentium II processors with Deschutes core can be identified by:

  • Part number: part number contains 80523P or 80523U.
    An example: 80523PX333512.
  • CPU ID: Processors with the Deschutes core have CPU identification numbers from 650 to 653. Please note that Pentium II Xeon CPUs with Drake core and Celeron processors with Covington core have the same CPU IDs.
