Pentium III Xeon

The Drake core was introduced on Jun 29, 1998. This core is based on P6 microarchitecture.

New core features:

  • 0.25 micron technology
  • 100 MHz FSB
  • Backside L2 cache with cache size up to 2 MB
  • Slot cartridge

Pentium II Xeon processors with Drake core can be identified by:

  • Part number: part number contains 80523K.
    An example: 80523PX333512.
  • CPU ID: Processors with the Drake core have CPU identification numbers from 650 to 653. Please note that Pentium II CPUs with Deschutes core and Celeron processors with Covington core have the same CPU IDs.
