AMD Geneva core

Geneva core was released in April 2010 in new embedded Athlon II Neo and Turion II Neo microprocessors. More Geneva-based consumer-class mobile processors for ultrathin notebooks and netbooks followed in May 2010. The core is based on K10 microarchitecture, and has from one to two CPU cores. Main feature of this core is ultra-low power consumption. All Geneva-based CPUs are produced in 812-ball BGA package, that has smaller size and lower profile than socket S1 compatible packages.

New core features:

  • Support for DDR3 memory.
  • Lower Thermal Design Power

All CPU families, that make use of Geneva core, are listed in the tables below.
