Presler was the last core based on NetBurst micro-architecture.

The Presler core was introduced on Dec 27, 2005. This core is based on NetBurst microarchitecture.

New core features:

  • 0.065 micron technology
  • 4 MB L2 cache
  • 1066 MHz FSB
  • Virtualization technology

Processors with Presler and Presler XE cores can be identified by:

  • Part number: part number contains "80553".
    For example: HH80553PG0724M.
  • CPU ID: Presler processors have CPU IDs F62, F64 and F65.

Pentium Extreme Edition CPUs have modified Presler core that supports 1066 MHz FSB and incorporates Hyper-Threading technology. That core is usually called Presler XE.
