Dual Intel Dynamic Acceleration
Dual Dynamic Acceleration technology boosts
CPU performance by means of increasing frequency of any one CPU core
when any other CPU core is idle, that is when the other CPU core is
in Deep Sleep or lower power state. The CPU may also increase
frequency of two of its cores when two other cores are idle.
Frequency in Core 2 Quad Mobile CPUs is usually increased by 266 MHz.
This feature was introduced in
Intel Core 2 Quad Mobile
CPU family and is applicable only to quad-core CPUs.
Similar feature in dual-core processors is called
Intel Dynamic
Acceleration technology. Newer Intel microprocessors based on
Nehalem core utilize improved version of IDA called
Turbo Boost Technology.
