In the last few days I posted benchmarks and CPUID information on about 20 Turion 64 X2, Celeron, and Core 2 Duo processors. Tested Core 2 Duo Mobile CPUs include three OEM-only processors - T4200, T6400 and T6600.

Combined CPU chart now includes data on microprocessors features. You can now use the chart to display all processors that have certain characteristics (family, frequency, etc), and/or have certain features, like AMD64/EM64T, Hyper-Threading, Virtualization, and so on. When you check more than feature in the "Features" field, the chart will display all CPUs that have all of the checked features.

You can now view older comments by clicking on the "more" link in the "Latest Comments" section on the right side of the CPU-World's front page. I also added a few more families to the Combined CPU chart. The chart now has a small number non-x86 microprocessors. Eventually I will update the CPU chart to allow processor selection by instruction set - x86, Motorola 68000, Z80, etc.

I posted benchmarks and CPUID information of 30 socket 775, socket 754 and socket S1 microprocessors. Many socket 775 and socket 754 benchmarks were already in the CPU benchmark database, this time I tested them on different motherboards. More socket S1 benchmarks will be posted next week, and I should also have some Pentium 4 and Celeron socket 478 benchmarks by then.

All HTML pages with for individual CPU family charts are now up to date. An index of all CPU charts was updated too. Some CPU chart pages were combined together. For example, Celeron CPU chart page now lists all Celeron processors. Some CPU pages still have references to old CPU chart pages - those will be fixed next week.

I've changed a way how data for the Combined CPU Chart is generated - this should make it much easier for me to update it. Also, I added L3 cache information to the chart, and added data on Intel Pentium, Intel Pentium II, and several VIA families. CPU Chart pages for individual families are not yet updated - I hope to finish them before I leave for vacation, i.e. in the next two weeks.

CPU listing pages for many modern CPU families now show production processors, samples, not released processors and comments in separate tabs. See how it looks on Athlon 64 X2 page. This separation should make listings less confusing for site visitors, especially after more engineering samples and fake processors are posted on the site.

I added CPU pages for five Six-Core Opterons. Combined CPU chart and six-core Opteron CPU chart were not updated today. There is going to be a big change in how these charts are built and populated, therefore I didn't touch them today. New version of combined CPU chart will be online later next week, and individual CPU charts will be updated in a week.

I added two new pages to Memorabilia section of the site: AMD case stickers and Intel case stickers. The pages have pictures of stickers, taken from boxed processors, that I either have in my collection, or had access to. The idea for those pages I've got from forum thread WTB Core i7 case stickers. The thread has a few links to other collections of stickers.

I started working on the second phase of re-writing of backend scripts. This phase will take longer than the first phase, that was completed in February of this year, and it should improve or simplify many things, like adding or renaming existing CPU pages, updating CPU Chart data, etc. So far I've made two changes to CPU pages for three Intel families - the pages now list CPU and box part numbers in the "General information" section along with related s-spec numbers, and list all core steppings in the "Architecture / Microarchitecture" section.
