| John, tell me more about the K6 adapter modules. Are these to run K6 on socket 5? Do the two modules have different functionality? |

I found these in a scrap board bin and I pulled the K6's from them.
They fit in a Socket 7, but so does the K6, so makes no sense to use these adapters in a 7. There are fewer staggered rows of pins in the bottom side of the adapters, so maybe were used for a Socket 5 upgrade?
There are configuration charts for the jumpers printed on the bottoms and the part number is P55C-K6-L2. The one with the green capacitors also has "REV. B" under the part #.
Hope this helps... _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

These look just like mine
Correction: The part # on the adapter with the 3 green capacitors is P55c-K6-S2...not L2. Sorry. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

Thanks for the ID info.
I hope someone needs some classic System 36 boards.
Thanks. Your link has very good instructions about these adapters. Multi- volt CPU's can be used with these. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |
