Hehehe,,what funny timing.
Just two hours ago, an SGI ORIGIN 2000 computer with 8 MIPS 12000 CPU's was posted for adoption to the vintage computer group near me.
"I have a two node SGI Origin 2000. Includes rack, bezels, LCD control panel and two working nodes. Each node has 4 CPU cards and 8gb of
memory. I have not booted it in years to I don't have an hinv."

I am going to try and pick up this full-rack beast this weekend. Any helpers? Wink
Hmm,, now where to store it. There may be another Earthquake when my wife finds out... Rolling Eyes

NICE SCORE! I used to live close to Chicago in Michigan but currently chill'n
in Europe. Otherwise I would have helped, for beer of course Laughing

Good luck with the new machine, you can always add a wing on to the house.
Maybe promise the wife a walk-in closet. It's worth a try.

Let me know when you bring it home, I'll warn my parents in Michigan for earthquakes!

No problem.
I may be handing this machine over to another member near me.
It's too big for me to store or display properly. Sad

Maybe this SGI will be available again after you return to the USA.Wink

While you are in the Netherlands, you might want to check out the Computer Museum in Rotterdam. Leevmeister works there part time and maybe he'll give you a tour?
