imho - ES is sample to test device and to debug it before general mass production.
Is it possible 386SX has both ES and mil spec marking ? What can the soldiers test? _________________ Soviet chips info and my own collection: www.cpu-ukraine.com |

probably a QS or CS
to my memory
the latest "CS" is possible 80286
and the earliest "QS" is pentium pro
my guess is from 386 to pentium , intel marked all sample (ES,QS etc ) as ES |

has anyone noticed it has two rows of pins instead of normal 3 ?
EDIT >> that package was used for the 80376
should be fractionally smaller than a 386 _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

OK... so is the MG80386SX-16 the same size as a 386 or 376? _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

| I would say the MG80386SX-16 is the same size as the 376. I just took a look at my 376-16 and it looks the same. |

I thought Hong Kong & mainland China were part of the same country now
but they seem to be in a boxing match over the 386SX _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:
