HA Ha Ha my pathetic site is at least up and running, altho far from being even close to finished at least I can say I have a start on it. I am not very saavy at all to say the least, but its a beginning.

http://www.chiefish.com/

Only stuff on first page, I havent even started organising yet, just getting a feel for the software and uploading to the site and all so dont expect too much yet Very Happy
Whatchas think ? I am curious to know if the pics load fast in youre browsers and stuff, or some potential pitfalls I may see. Smile

Pics load fast. Page is too wide in my opinion.

Nice! Just to be up and running is a critical step!

Agree with gshv, to wide even for my 1680x1050. Horizontal scrollbar is by internet laws forbidden since 1995. Smile

Ok I think ive got it at a good width now. I am using a 24 inch @ 1920 x 1200 monitor so it looked narrow to me at first. I like to fill the screen with the images heh heh heh

Hehe good stuff.

You got your site up quicker than me (www.cpucloset.com) - it's had a temporary holding page for around 3 months Wink

Ya, looks good for a first start. Not sure about the grey link text. Nice bigg ass scans... you might want to add bottom scans. It will save you time later.

I am adding stuff every evening when I have a few minutes. I Am using software thats on a trial basis for right now, So i am not postitive I am going to keep using it, altho so far I like it well enough. Dont you guys think I could widen the pages a bit still , I have viewed it on a few different computers and monitors, and it still looks like I am not taking advantage of the amount of space shown on the screens vs the amount of space filled on the screens.

Your site is optimized for 800x600 display right now. Many big sites nowadays are optimized for 1024x768 screen, so you can safely increase the width to 1024 pixels.
