As EPROM capacities increased to insatiable demand for more storage, die sizes increased rapidly as process shrinks could not keep pace.

But there was Flash to save the day!
Just imagine if flash memory was never invented. Would make for some interesting USB memory sticks |

Ahh but they made a 32Mbit too (and a 64 but I never have been able to find one) _________________ ***I Aim to Misbehave.***

It's really a 32 MBit EPROM (2M x 16). I found a datasheet of that M27C322:

No Chiefish is correct, it is a 4Mbit EPROM 256kx16 _________________ ***I Aim to Misbehave.***

Anyone know any of the part numbers for the 64m eproms, I would mind trying to hunt a couple down. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E.

As would most EPROM collectors among us I know I'd be happy to find one or more of the largest capacity _________________ OMG, I finally found out what's wrong with my brain:
