Found this 386 SX211 CPU installed in this board today. Both work fine and post as 386DX-33 Mhz. It looks nothing like your 386 CPU's in the pictures on this site... Is this 386 CPU a fake?

I thought 386 DX CPU's were like 486 DX CPU's as far as having a FPU built in?

80386DX had 32-bit data bus, and SX parts had 16-bit data bus.

Visually, it looks good to me. Wait for Stu (Neon_WA), he's much better than me at spotting fakes Smile

Looks all good mate Smile
Engraving on top good
The old logo wasn't used until about week 15 1989
at the same time changed from M C Intel to Intel M C
correct copyright for a 33MHz 386 of this date with a sSpec

nice find mate.. I'm still looking for a 33 without either logo

Awesome....thank you for validating it!! For a working board and CPU, $1.00 is not a bad price I guess!! Very Happy

No see if you can find a A80386-33 for $2 Laughing

some of my best chips have been really cheap buys or finds.. always nice when that happens

smithy has a good collection of 386 online and if not pictured there either really rare or fake

and talking about fakes.. I was asked about this one on chipdb.org .......which is a fake

That's another cpu that I need now. I didn't know that the DX-33 came in the variety without logos.
