Just wondering if this would be the smallest packaged processor out there... It's an Audience A1010 voice processor out of a HTC phone. I mean, it has enough in it that it's a fully standalone CPU. It has internal processor logic, internal cache RAM (data and instruction), internal ROM, internal ADC/DAC, PLL, PMU, host IO bus interface, SPI bus, I2C bus, GPIO and a JTAG port. All in a 2.7mm x 3.5mm package. I just desoldered this (along with a Qualcomm MSM7600 CPU, and the Broadcom single-chip CDMA/GSM radio and the Broadcom single-chip 802.11B/G/Bluetooth radio) out of a HTC Touch Pro 2.
This is a picture from an article about the processor. My camera had a hard time taking a picture of it because it's about the size of a notebook drive jumper.

Trick is, to die of old age before it finds you.
