AMD is preparing ultra low power Athlon II 170u

As we already posted on March 24, AMD is planning new ultra low-power single-core Athlon II processor for the second quarter of 2010. Currently Athlon II family has only one member, model 160u, which runs at 1.8 GHz and dissipates no more than 20 Watts of power. The 170u will be 200 MHz faster than the 160u, but will fit in the same 20 Watt thermal envelope. As all new Athlon II CPUs, the 170u is based on newer C3 core revision. The part number of the new CPU is AD170UEAK13GM.
