Six-core AMD Phenom II X6 processors are out

Today AMD introduced six-core Phenom II processors, branded as Phenom II X6. First two models in this family are 1055T with core frequency 2.8 GHz, and 1090T Black Edition with 3.2 GHz core frequency and unlocked clock multiplier. Other features of these processors are identical - 3 MB level 2 cache (512 KB per core), 6 MB L3 cache, 64-bit and NX-bit support, AMD-V virtualization, and 125 Watt Thermal Design Power. Both processors incorporate Turbo Core technology - a new feature, that boosts performance of up to three cores when other three or more cores are idle. The best thing about new processors are prices. Official AMD prices are $199 for 1055T and $295 for 1090T. NewEgg offers both models with free shipping for $209 and $309 (prices can change anytime):

The best deal, in our opinion, is offered by TigerDirect. Not only their prices are almost the same as official prices, but you can also receive $50 rebate. The final cost? $149 for 1055T model, and $249 for 1090T model:

Update: TigerDirect deal is over. Phenom II X6 1055T and 1090T processors now shown as unavailable.
