Intel announced 4 new Atom microprocessorsToday Intel announced 4 new Atom microprocessors - N455 and N475 for netbook market, and D425 and D525 CPUs for entry-level desktop market. Single-core N455 and N475 CPUs are similar to N450 and N470 processors respectively, but add support for DDR3 memory. The N455 is clocked at 1.66 GHz, and the N475 is clocked 166 MHz faster, at 1.83 GHz. Other features of both processors are identical - 512 KB L2 cache, HyperThreading, 6.5 Watt Thermal Design Power. Both processors are manufactured in BGA package. The processors are available now, and are priced $64 for N455, and $75 for N475. Single-core D425 and dual-core D525 CPUs operate at 1.83 GHz. L2 cache on the D425 is 512 KB, and 1 MB on the D525. The processors will be available on June 21st. Related News (newer articles):
