Specifications of Intel Core i5-560M and Pentium P6000 microprocessorsTwo weeks ago we posted "Specifications of upcoming Intel Mobile microprocessors" story, and commented on a not-yet-released Pentium P6000 microprocessor. We were able to locate part and S-spec numbers for this CPU. We also found part numbers for Core i5-560M model, which is planned for the fourth quarter of this year. Intel Pentium P6000Dual-core Pentium P6000 microprocessor is based on 32nm Arrandale core. It operates at 1.86 GHz, has 3 MB of shared L3 memory, and supports DDR3-1066 memory. The processor does not contain Turbo Boost or HyperThreading technologies. We already posted a few notebook models that will feature Pentium P6000 CPU. These are Lenovo IdeaPad Z360 and Z560, ASUS A52 and K52-series, Toshiba Satellite L630 and other notebooks. Two more notebooks, that support this CPU and were not mentioned before, are Lenovo G460 and Acer eMachines E730. Specifications page for the E730 laptop was especially useful to us as it contains power requirements for the CPU: Acer eMachines E730 specifications If this specification page is correct, then the Pentium P6000 has 35 Watt TDP. The processor will be manufactured in micro-PGA package, and will have CP80617004170AF OEM part number, and SLBWB S-spec number. Intel Core i5-560MCore i5-560M is one of the two planned for this fall Core i5 Mobile microprocessors operating at standard voltage. Based on the same Arrandale core, as the Pentium P6000 CPU, the dual-core 560M CPU will work at 2.66 GHz base frequency, that may be raised for single-threaded applications to 3.2 GHz by means of Turbo Boost technology. Integrated Hyperthreading technology will allow this CPU to execute up to 4 threads simultaneously. The processor will have 3 MB level 3 cache, and support DRR3-1066 memory. Graphics controller, located on-package, but separately from two CPU cores, will run at 500 MHz, and could be temporarily boosted to 766 MHz. Like the Pentium P6000, the Core i5-560M will have 35 Watt Thermal Design Power. The i5-560M will be produced in two package types - micro-PGA and micro-BGA. Micro-PGA (socket 988) version of the i5-560M will have CP80617005487AA OEM part number, BX80617I5560M box part number and SLBTS S-Spec number. OEM part number and S-spec number for the micro-BGA model will be CN80617005487AA and SLBTT respectively. Related News
