Intel to discontinue Core 2 Mobile processors

Recently Engadget posted slides from a leaked Intel mobile processors roadmap, covering the second half of this year and the first half of the next year. That document contained not only information about future new mobile processors, but also useful data on discontinued Core 2 Mobile CPUs. Here is a relevant slide from the leaked document:

According to the document, many top Core 2 Duo Mobile, Core 2 Quad Mobile and Core 2 Extreme mobile processors will be discontinued by the end of this year. In the third quarter Intel is going to discontinue the following models:

• Core Extreme QX9300 and X9100
• Core 2 Quad Q9100 and Q9000
• Core 2 Duo Mobile T9800, T9550, T9400, P9600, P9500, P8400, P8600, SP9300, SL9300 and SU9300
• Core 2 Solo SU3300 and SU3500

In the fourth quarter Intel will discontinue the following Core 2 Duo Mobile processors: T9900, T9600, P9700, P8800, P8700 SP9600, SP9400, SL9600, SL9400, SU9600 and SU9400.
