New desktop Intel processors for the third quarter 2010

HKEPC Hardware compiled information about new releases and scheduled price cuts for desktop Intel CPUs for the third quarter of this year. According to HKEPC, on July 18 Intel will launch Core i5-760 quad-core microprocessor, and drop price on dual-core Pentium E5500 from $75 to $64.

New dual-core Pentium microprocessor with 3 GHz core frequency and with 800 MHz FSB, model E5700, will be released on August 8. The processor will be priced at $75.

On August 29th Intel is going to launch three new dual-core CPUs:

• Core i3-560 processor at $138
• Pentium E6800 at $86
• Celeron E3500 at $52

In addition to new processors, on that date Intel will reduce price on Core i7-950 CPU to $295.

More price cuts will be coming on October 17. The price of Core i3-550 will be dropped to $117, Pentium E6700 - to $75, Pentium E5700 - to $64, and Celeron E3400 - to $42.
