New Intel Core i3-2102 processor revealedA few days left before the launch of Core i3 microprocessors, including entry-level i3-2100. A version of the 2100 CPU with beefed up graphics controller, and i3-2105 processor number, will be released in the second quarter. Today, Intel published material declaration datasheet, that revealed another variation of the i3-2100 chip. The processor has BX80623I32102 box part number, and SR05D S-Spec. Based on the last part of the box number, the model of this CPU is going to be i3-2102, and the S-Spec corresponds to CM8062301061700 OEM part. Like 2100 and 2105 models, the Intel i3-2102 should be compatible with socket 1155. Detailed specifications of the new microprocessor are not known yet. We believe that the major processor characteristics, like the number of cores, 3.1 GHz clock frequency, and 3 MB l3 cache cache, as well as basic set of technologies, won't be different from the Core i3-2100 CPU, however the processor may come with better or higher-clocked graphics controller, or add a secondary CPU feature. Release date of the new model is unknown. Related News
