Pre-order prices of A4-Series desktop CPUsAMD desktop LLano platform currently consists of two desktop A6-3650 and A8-3850 quad-core processors, released in July 2011, and three A6- and A8-Series models, launched less than a week ago. Prices of these Accelerated Processing Unites (APUs) range from $89 for triple-core A6-3500 and up to $135 for A8-3850. This quarter, AMD is going to launch two supposedly cheaper microprocessors from A4-Series family. In the past few days, pre-order prices for these chips appeared in at least one US and one Canadian online stores: AMD A4-3300 and A4-3400 processors have two CPU cores, operating at 2.5 GHz and 2.7 GHz respectively. The processors incorporate 1 MB L2 cache, DDR3 memory controller with support for 1600 MHz data rate, and Radeon HD 6410D graphics processing unit. The Radeon GPU features 160 shader units, and it is clocked at 600 MHz. Pre-order price for A4-Series A4-3300 in US store is $73.52, and the A4-3400 is about $6 more expensive. Based on this information and price history for previous AMD processors from the same company, we estimate that official price for AMD A6-3300 should be close to $65, plus or minus a few dollars, and official price for A4-3400 APU should be about $70, again, give or take a few dollars.
