Intel socket 775 CPUs and first AMD E-Series chips to retire in Q4

Yesterday Intel published several Product Change Notifications, that notify Intel customers about upcoming product discontinuations. Specifically, this quarter Intel will retire boxed and tray versions of Celeron E3400, E3500 and Pentium E5700. These CPUs can be ordered until December 30, 2011, and will be shipped until June 8, 2012. Celeron E3400 will still be offered for embedded applications.

Two socket 1156 processors, Core i3-530 and Core i5-661, will be end-of-lifed in Q2 2012. Their last order date is April 27, 2012, and the last shipment date is October 5, 2012.

In related news, Fuzilla reported that AMD is going to retire two first two Brazos chips, single-core E-240 and dual-core E-350. The E-240 can be ordered until mid-Q4 2011, and will be shipped until mid-Q2 2012. Last order date for AMD E-Series E-350 is the end of this quarter, and the last shipment date is the end of the second quarter 2012.
