Intel Celeron B815 to ship in Dell Vostro 1550Last month Fudzilla news site revealed details and prices of 4 Celeron processors, planned for the first quarter 2011. Forthcoming microprocessors are single-core 797 and B720, and dual-core 867 and B815. Celeron B720 and B815 are mainstream parts, and 797 and 867 are ultra-low voltage chips for thin and light notebooks. Although we're still a quarter away from the launch of these models, one of them, Celeron B815, already appeared in specifications of Dell Vostro 1550 notebook on Japanese Dell website. Celeron B815 is supposed to have the same CPU performance as Intel B810, however it will feature slightly faster GPU. Both processors run at 1.6 GHz, and have two CPU cores and 2 MB L3 cache. The B815 supports DDR3-1333 memory, and have integrated graphics unit clocked at 650 MHz, or up to 1.05 GHz when boosted. According to Fudzilla, the chip will cost $86. Another interesting processor, shipped in Vostro 1550 notebook PC, is a not yet released Core i5-2450M. We already reported on this model, please see "Related News" links below for more information. That dual-core CPU can process 4 threads at once, and it's 100 MHz faster than recently introduced Core i5-2430M. Remaining features on the 2450M are not different from the 2430M: 3 MB of last level cache, Turbo Boost technology, and support for SSE4 and AVX instructions. Related News (newer articles):
