Intel prepares Core i3-2370M CPU

A few new mobile Intel microprocessors will be available in the upcoming months. Mobile Celeron family will be refreshed with 4 models, and new i5-2450M member will be added Core i5 Mobile family. We also discovered that Intel prepares Core i3-2370M microprocessor. Specifications of this CPU were found in Maintenance and Service Guide (PDF file) for HP ProBook 4530s and 4730s notebooks, and in this PDF file on Intel website.

The fastest at this time microprocessor from Core i3 series is i3-2350M. Clocked at 2.3 GHz, this mid-class product is positioned between 2.2 GHz and slower Pentiums, and 2.4 GHz and faster Core i5s and Core i7s. Core i3-2370M bumps frequency by 100 MHz to 2.4 GHz, while keeping unchanged all other features of the 2350M. Intel i3-2370M has two CPU cores, and Hyper-Threading technology allows each core to execute two threads simultaneously. The CPU comes with 3 MB of last level cache, doesn't support Turbo Boost technology, and has on-chip graphics controller with 1.15 GHz maximum Turbo speed. Remaining processor features are not confirmed, although we do not expect them to be different from the i3-2350M, i.e. 650 MHz GPU base frequency, support for AVX instructions, and 35 Watt TDP. We suspect that Core i3-2370M and i5-2450M will be introduced at the same time, but we do not have any information on the launch date of these chips.
