AMD Radeon HD 7950 due on January 31

Following hot on the heels of the recently released Radeon HD 7970, the next model in the new line-up is the HD 7950. Initially available with 3 GB GDDR5, a cheaper 1.5 GB model is expected in the future. Other models are expected to follow in February.

The Radeon HD7950 has 28 GCN Compute Units, with 1792 Stream Processors and 112 Texture Mapping Units. It will have the same 384-bit memory bandwidth present in HD 7970. Clock speed and performance figures are not yet known. It is expected to cost around $449 for a reference model.

Dual-Tahiti HD 7990 cards and Pitcairn (HD 7800-series) GPUs are expected in February or March. Fudzilla also say that NVidia plan to launch the mainstream GK104 GPU around the same time.
