Intel Core i7-3525M mobile CPU is in the worksIn June Intel plans to launch a number of third generation Core i7 processors, all featuring 2 CPU cores with Hyper-Threading. One of these models is i7-3520M, which seems to be the least expensive from upcoming Core i7-branded mobile chips. As was revealed by Fudzilla yesterday, the i7-3520M SKU is going to get a sibling later this year. Core i7-3525M, coming in the third quarter, will have slightly faster GPU, while retaining all main features of the 3520M model. Like all dual-core Core i7s, Intel i7-3525M will come with 4 MB L3 cache, and Hyper-Threading technology, that allows each CPU core to handle two threads at once. The processor will operate at 2.9 GHz, and can temporary boost clock speed to 3.6 GHz for one core, or to 3.4 GHz for both cores. Core i7-3525M will integrate HD 4000 graphics with 650 MHz base frequency. Maximum GPU Turbo frequency on this SKU will be increased to 1.35 GHz as opposed to 1.25 GHz on the i5-3520M. The processor will be produced in BGA package, which means that it will be soldered and cannot be upgraded. Core i7-3525M will be released in the third quarter. Pricing information on this model is not available at this time. Related News (newer articles):
