NVidia GeForce GTX680M coming during Computex 2012The latest reports suggest that NVidia are preparing their flagship mobile graphics cards, GeForce GTX680M, for launch during Computex 2012, in June. This card will not be using a full GK104 chip, and will only have either 744 or 768 (depending which listings are accurate) CUDA cores. The photo, posted by Videocardz.com, shows a revision A2 chip, part number N13E-GTX-A2. The card will also have 4 GB GDDR5 memory, double that on the full GK104 desktop SKU reference designs, with a full 256-bit memory interface. Reports say that it will be 37% faster than the Fermi based GTX670M, and it shows a 3DMark 11 performance preset score of 4905 (when coupled with a Core i7-3720QM Ivy Bridge CPU). The card is due to be released during Computex 2012, although some models are already listed using this GPU. Related News (newer articles):
