Intel Pentium G645 spotted

Two weeks ago we reported on new Celeron G465 and G555 dual-core microprocessors, that surfaced in Intel's Material Declaration Data Sheets (MDDS) database. Presumably, the Celerons with Gxx5 processor numbers will have CPU features, similar to G460 and G550 products, while offering slightly higher graphics performance. Yesterday Intel published details of yet another Gxx5 processor, this time it's a Pentium G645:

Pentium G645 box and part numbers in the MDDS database

Pentium G645 has box part numbers BX80623G645 and BX80623G645, and S-Spec number SR0RS. Like with Gxx5 Celerons, we don't have any confirmed details on this model. We suspect that the G645 processor will operate at 2.8 GHz, have 2 CPU cores with 3 MB L3 cache, and feature on-chip GPU with higher stock and/or turbo frequencies than production Pentium G640. It's very likely the chip won't support any advanced Sandy Bridge technologies, and will be limited to SIMD instructions up to SSE4, and to Intel 64 and VT-x virtualization.

Pentium G645 also appeared in the "Product and Performance Information" section of the "How to Choose a Processor" page. The section contains large number of footnotes, referring to different Core and Pentium SKUs, including several unreleased ones. The G645 is mentioned in the footnote 21. Other upcoming chips, referenced in the footnotes, are Core i7-3740QM, Core i3-3220, Core i3-3110M, Core i3-3217U and Pentium B980. We already reported on these microprocessors. The footnotes also mention two previously unknown processor numbers, Core i7-3940XM and i5-3420. The i7-3940XM seems to be a tad faster version of the mobile i7-3920XM, that may be introduced simultaneously with Intel i7-3740QM and i7-3840QM CPUs. Core i5-3420 could be quad-core model, positioned feature-wise and price-wise between not yet released Core i5-3330 and currently available i5-3450 products.
