AMD FX family will be refreshed in the second half of October, and the refresh will bring faster and slightly more efficient desktop processors to the masses. The fastest FX model, FX-8350, will come with 8 cores and impressive looking (on the spec sheet) 4 GHz frequency. The CPU will be released only in a week or two, but if you don't want to wait that long, you can grab one on eBay, while there is still time. The FX-8350 CPU was listed at $325 with about $40 one-day shipping in US. With less than a day left to go, it has only one bid. The price doesn't seem too high to us because it's a production boxed processor, and, more importantly, it's a version with a liquid cooling kit. Just for reference, AMD FX-8150 CPU with liquid cooling kit was selling for more than $300 when it first popped up in retail stores. Judging by the fact that it's not an engineering sample, and that the seller is from Austin, TX, we suspect that the box was a giveaway at AMD's Fan Day event.
