AMD recently launched third generation of Accelerated Processing Units for socket FM2. These products feature "Richland" core, higher clock speeds on the CPU side, and HD 8000 graphics on the GPU side. Similar to previous generations of A-Series processors, AMD also plans to release a couple of Athlon-branded "Richland" products, that have integrated GPU disabled. One of these processors is a dual-core Athlon X2 370K, currently available for preorder in some stores. We reported about this SKU back in May. Another processor is Athlon X4 760K, that recently surfaced in UK online stores, including Amazon. The CPU is also available on eBay UK, which means that at least one company has them in stock.
Based on the specifications, provided by sellers, AMD 760K has 4 CPU cores and 4 MB L2 cache. The processor is based on "Richland" core, which can be deduced from "HL" letters in the AD760KWOHLBOX box part number. The CPU is clocked at 3.8 GHz, or 400 MHz higher than "Trinity"-based 750K. The 760K has the maximum Turbo Core frequency of 4.1 GHz. This is only 100 MHz faster than the 750K, that is both processors are likely to perform on the same level in single- and dual-threaded applications. Athlon X4 760K supports DDR3-1866 memory, and, as was already mentioned, lacks integrated graphics unit. "tekcomputersuk" seller on eBay UK lists this SKU for 82.95 GBP, or about $129.75, with free shipping within European Union. Amazon UK has this part for 64.86 GBP, or $101.10, but it will available only in 2 or 3 weeks.
