AMD A8-6410 "Beema" APU shipped in HP notebooks

New A8-6410 "Beema" APU surfaced in HP Pavilion notebooks, specifically in Pavilion 14z Touch, Pavilion 15z, 17z and 17z Touch. "Beema" processors were launched back in April, and the fastest model up to this moment was a quad-core A6-6310, clocked at 1.8 GHz, or up to 2.4 GHz with the Turbo Core technology active. The A8-6410, offered as an upgrade option in mentioned above laptops, is a new flagship "Beema" chip with higher base frequency and better graphics than the A6-6310.

Specifications of HP Pavilion 14z and other notebooks are light on CPU details, fortunately we were able to find more information (PDF) in the QuickSpecs of the HP 245 G3 and 255 G3 Notebook PCs. The QuickSpecs document states that the A8-6410 runs at 2 GHz frequency, and up to 2.4 GHz. The processor has 4 CPU cores and 2 MB of L2 cache. The A8-6410 supports DDR3L memory up to 1600 MHz. This is lower than 1866 MHz, supported by the A6-6310, however it might be a limitation of the laptop motherboard. The A8-6410 comes with integrated Radeon R5 graphics unit, and, like other quad-core "Beema" APUs, has 15 Watt TDP:

ModelCoresFrequency /

A6-6310 4 1.8 / 2.4 GHz 2 MB Radeon R4 series 15 Watt
A8-6410 4 2 / 2.4 GHz 2 MB Radeon R5 series 15 Watt

HP notebooks with the new microprocessor are already available in the HP online store, and in many online retailers, such as Amazon, NewEgg and SamsClub.

Gotta be kidding me, you want gaming, get something with a geforce 840m. Best price for performance, either that or an 830M.
