Some 865 + ICH5 motherboard can support this CPU

According to CPU-Upgrade.com - and Intel's - website, an Intel D845GRG board DOES support this CPU.
I've just researched this because a Gateway Business Unit (now the defunct - Chapter 11 - MPC) system came my way to update and I had a P4 2.4B available to try. (Haven't done so - yet. I'll let you all know whether or not it works.)

This exact CPU Came with a Gateway Home PC, with the EXACT Mobo mentioned below
(Intel Type 845GRG) so, it DOES go together.
