2.4/1.6?
I have this processor on an Intel manufatured motherboard it comes up as a 1.6Ghz CPU in post but in XP it says its a 2.4ghz. Also the cpuid program says the core speed is 1600Mhz. So is it a 1.6Ghz that performs like a 2.4Ghz? or is does it perform as a 1.6Ghz P4?
2.4/1.6
the bios of yours motherboard it does not recognize the cpuid..
The ratio is blocked at 133*12 (battery mode)
the correct ratio is 133*17= 2.4ghz (maximum performance)
It's a mobile CPU!!
try to unlock the ratio..or buy a desktop Cpu..:-)
Speed Step
This CPU have EnhanceSpeedStep, in desktop have all this CPU (mobile P4) only 1.6GHz/12x, this rate is not change, only in notebooks chipset, what support ESS !!! desktop chipset cannot change ESS rate !!!
